Organisation Profile

Our organisation was started by women of Rwenkarabo and our hope was to achieve wealth as women and a better living for our children and youth. Our First project was coffee planting and pig rearing.

At first we as women didn’t know our rights but now we know human rights and the role of women in governance. Currently, we are engaged in psycho social support and counselling.

We as women have gained strength in our community. Our youth and the community have learnt how to prevent the HIV AIDS killer disease and those who have it have known how to live positively with it through counselling.

However, sometimes transport challenges discourage our work. Our community is poor and sometimes it becomes very difficult for us to maintain and support it.

We want to thank the West Ankole Civil Society Forum (WACSOF) that has helped us to know much about CSOs.
Our organisation is made up of members from the grassroots so if you have any assistance you are welcome to work with us.
