We strive to ensure joint advocacy, lobbing, monitoring and supplement on government effort in ensuring effective services delivery like education, roads and hospitals.
We are a young promising organisation that has a lot of issues to lobby and advocate e.g. child abuse, domestic gender based violence, and civic right education though we need a lot of support from key stakeholders.
We carried out research on civic rights, political governance issues or effective advocacy, promotion of civic rights education within the community through advocating (bridging the gap between the public office bearers and community) to kick start our process of work.
Since we started operating, issues on governance and development of the community welfare were presented the forum of the district leaders and actions taken by assigning tasks and time frame. The causes of domestic and gender based violence and child abuse have been reported by the community to us and we have referred them to police and other stake holders.
Currently, we are engaged in carrying out research survey and compilation of data on governance and civic right issues for advocacy.
We managed to receive a neglected child from the verges of death who was later admitted forcefully to Kiryandongo hospital through police intervention and the child is now recovering.
We have been challenged by financial constraints that have limited recruitment of staff to run programmes and approaching the community.
We want to acknowledge and thank the district local government who are cooperarative and the district chairperson who offered us office space. Actionaid Uganda, UNHR, Refuge Settlement, RDP Uganda and Build Africa have also been instrumental in supporting our programmes.
