They hoped to lobby and establish viable small scale community projects to increase on their incomes, the quality of their lives, and fight the root causes of poverty. They hoped to achieve this through advocating for good governance and observation human rights, increase literacy level, fight climatic change with its negative impact on the community, improve on sanitation and reduce on the challenges of health in the communities. In the end it would promote long lasting peace and they would attain a lasting socio-economic development. We do not only carry out advocacy for proper service delivery but also strive to empower the vulnerable members of the community like the youths, women, people living with HIV/AIDS, people with disability, and the elderly with relevant skills and knowledge to combat poverty in their households.
Our initial work included a few steps like; • Registration with Uganda National NGO Board • Institutional development • Partnership and Alliance Building • Fundraising
Since the organization was founded, we have experienced some changes that include; a) It registered with Uganda National NGO Board b) Capacity building of the Board of Director and staff members c) Built partnership with other local NGOs
Currently we are engaged in fundraising and partnership and alliance building. We are happy to have registered with the National NGO Board and built good relationships with the stakeholders.
In most cases, our work is challenged by having few staff members as our resources are still not enough to hire enough that impacts on the implementation of programmes.
We would like to acknowledge the support offered by Mid-western region centre for democracy and Human rights, Kigumba Youth Alive Association and Recreation for Development and Peace Uganda in the implementation of our work.
